What we collect

Google Analytics 4, and only if you say yes to it. It records which pages get read, on what kind of device, and roughly which country from. That tells us which port to research next. No accounts exist yet, so none of it is tied to a person. If you send an advertising enquiry, we keep what you typed so we can reply to it.

Nothing is stored on your device until you agree. If you say no, or never answer, no analytics cookie is written at all. You can change your mind from the Cookie choices link in the footer.

Analytics is not advertising

This matters enough to spell out. Google Analytics can be wired into Google’s advertising products. Ours is not. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation are switched off in our configuration and stay off whatever you choose, and Google Signals, the setting that links visits to advertising profiles across devices, is disabled. We do not run remarketing, we do not build audiences, and we do not pass anything to advertisers.

We also use Google Search Console, which reports the searches that led people here. It reads search results, not your visit, and sets nothing on your device.

What we don't do

No advertising networks, no ad cookies, no selling data on. Offers are sold directly to local businesses at the ports themselves, so there is no exchange in the middle wanting your browsing history.

Third parties we do use

Maps are served by CARTO and OpenStreetMap, and photography by Unsplash and Wikimedia Commons. Loading a port page fetches map tiles and images from them, which means those services see the request.
